When creating a new game, setting a specific type of game loads default values with all essential game parameters. Afterwards, you can reconfigure any of these settings according to your needs. Once you have created multiple games, the filtering tools are really usefull. With that being said, the list of games is:



Descriptions follow below of all types of games you can play with Atrivity.


Remote or Standard

  • Uses: Format regularly used for training purposes.
  • Format and duration: Lasts a few days and let players interact with each other through challenges.
  • Customizable default settings: Limits amount of play each day between players in a game, advanced challenges progressively enter the game with experience, 1 day to complete pending challenges.
  • Notifications: Daily e-mail sent to players starting with the game launch and push notifications sent from the app.

Live game

  • Uses: Format typically used to liven up events.
  • Format and duration: 30-40 minutes in a conference room, with interaction among players through challenges and live game activity monitoring.
  • Customizable default settings: Limits amount of play each day between players in a game, advanced challenges progressively enter game with experience, last 5 minutes to complete pending challenges.
  • Notifications: One e-mail communication sent at the end of the game with a summary of the results.

Onboarding

  • Uses: Training game format for new employees who join a company.
  • Format and duration: Players only interact with Atrivity by responding to automated challenges sent by the system and never challenge each other. (read more about automated challenges here)
  • Customizable default settings: Impossible to challenge other players or complete trainings. You set the path with a cadence of automated challenges and communications.
  • Notifications: Email and push notifications configured to mark the game path. Depending on the game duration, they can be sent daily or every 2 to 3 days.

Continuous

  • Uses: Longer trainings with specific content and a steady stream of automated challenges.
  • Format and duration: Typically lasting 1-3 months, Atrivity launches automatic challenges instead of players, requires very little effort from the user
  • Customizable default settings: Impossible to challenge other players or complete trainings. You set the path with a cadence of automated challenges and communications.
  • Notifications: Daily e-mail sent after game starts plus some additional app notifications.



Assessment

  • Uses: Regular format used to evaluate knowledge.
  • Format and duration: Brief participation time without repeating questions or challenges between players.
  • Customizable default settings: Impossible to challenge other players or complete trainings.
  • Notifications: Communication with instructions on how to play the game and the game launch



Permanent

  • Uses: Knowledge refresher.
  • Format and duration: No start or end date.
  • Customizable default settings: Limits amount of play each day between players in a game, advanced challenges progressively enter game with experience, 1 day to complete pending challenges.
  • Notifications: Scheduled the same way as onboarding games, with completely automated challenges and the start date based on the moment when user enters the game.



Demo

  • Uses: Game masters first user experience.
  • Format and duration: It's the game master choice. 
  • Customizable default settings: Automated challenges and between players
  • Notifications:  Client choice, all options can be settled.

Pathway

Will be an onboarding game by default

  • Uses : Training game format for new employees who join a company. 
  • Format and duration:  Players only interact with Atrivity by responding to automated challenges sent by the system and never challenge each other.  Players must complete and win the first challenge in order to move into the next one (read more about automated challenges here).
  • Customizable default settings: Impossible to challenge other players or complete trainings. You set the path with a cadence of automated challenges and communications. 
  • Notifications:  Email and push notifications configured to mark the game path. Depending on the game duration, they can be sent daily or every 2 to 3 days.
